Summer Game Fest 2023 is in the books, and it was a doozy! The livestream event was packed with news, trailers, and announcements for some of the biggest games of the year. Here's a roundup of everything that was announced:
Spider-Man 2
Insomniac Games finally gave us a release date for Spider-Man 2: Fall 2023. The trailer showed off new gameplay, including Peter Parker and Miles Morales teaming up to take on Venom and Kraven the Hunter.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
Square Enix revealed the first trailer for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second part of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy. The trailer was short, but it gave us a glimpse of the game's new world and characters.
Mortal Kombat 12
NetherRealm Studios announced Mortal Kombat 12, the latest installment in the long-running fighting game franchise. The trailer didn't show any gameplay, but it did feature a brief glimpse of Scorpion and Sub-Zero.
Path of Exile 2
Grinding Gear Games announced Path of Exile 2, the sequel to the popular action RPG. The trailer showed off new gameplay, including a new skill system and a new world to explore.
Alan Wake 2
Remedy Entertainment announced Alan Wake 2, the sequel to the 2010 survival horror game. The trailer didn't show any gameplay, but it did feature a brief glimpse of Alan Wake himself.
