Yu Darvish Activated for Padres' Start

The San Diego Padres have activated right-hander Yu Darvish from the 15-day injured list and he is set to start Wednesday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Injury Update

Darvish has been sidelined since May 29 with a right hip impingement. He made two rehab starts in the minors, allowing two runs on four hits in 6 2/3 innings.

Return to Rotation

Darvish's return is a major boost for the Padres, who have struggled with injuries to their starting rotation this season. He is expected to slot into the team's rotation behind Joe Musgrove and Blake Snell.

Recent Performance

Before landing on the IL, Darvish was 4-3 with a 4.15 ERA in 11 starts this season. He has struck out 68 batters in 58 1/3 innings.
