Dutch Winger Signs Three-Year Deal with French Club

Martens Excited to Join Ambitious PSG

Paris Saint-Germain has confirmed the signing of Lieke Martens on a three-year contract until the summer of 2025. The 29-year-old Dutch winger joins PSG after leaving Barcelona, where she spent the past five seasons. Martens, who began playing football at the age of five, is excited about her move to Paris. She believes the club's ambition and desire to win trophies aligns with her own goals. "I am very proud and happy to join Paris Saint-Germain," Martens said. "This is a club with a great history and a lot of ambition. I am convinced that we can achieve great things together and I am looking forward to helping the team win trophies." Martens is a highly decorated player, having won the UEFA Women's Champions League, the Dutch Eredivisie, and the KNVB Women's Cup multiple times. She was also named UEFA Women's Player of the Year in 2017 and has represented the Netherlands at the FIFA Women's World Cup and the UEFA Women's European Championship. PSG is hoping that Martens' experience and ability will help them challenge for major trophies this season. The club has already won the French Super Cup and is currently top of the Division 1 FĂ©minine standings.
