Derek Clancey, born on April 16, 1969, in St. John's, Newfoundland, is a former professional hockey player and current coach. His professional career spanned eight seasons from 1991 to 1999, primarily in the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL).

Over 441 games, Clancey amassed 524 points with 157 goals and 367 assists. He spent the majority of his professional career in the ECHL, playing for teams such as Winston-Salem, Erie, and Toledo.
